A Note From Malcolm

Every note that comes to me is read, and read with real gladness, I am more grateful for them than I can easily say. That there are now rather more than I can answer is itself a kindness, and I hope those who write will forgive my silence and know that it is never indifference.

I am no longer able to read every media request that reaches me, a happy problem, in its way, and so replies will come from my personal assistant rather than from me, for which I hope you will forgive the slight remove.

It is with real regret, and with enormous gratitude for the many kind invitations that continue to reach me, that I must now decline any speaking engagement falling outside the compass of The Matter of Britain and my Arthuriad. The epic poems have latterly asked for the whole of my attention, and I have come to feel a summons of that kind is not one I can go on putting off. I do hope you will forgive me, and that our paths may yet cross somewhere along the road to Logres.
